I am Associate Professor of Mathematics at The University of West Georgia. My professional duties fall into three categories: Teaching, Research, and Service.
I teach a wide variety of both undergraduate and graduate level courses, including
- Freshman level, core curriculum courses
- Service courses for other departments
- Upper level courses for mathematics majors
- Various graduate level courses, primarily for M.Ed. students in mathematics education
My research interests span a broad spectrum of mathematics generally classified as geometry, including
- General topology
- Differential topology
- Differential geometry
- Algebraic geometry
- Manifold theory in the categories of smooth, analytic, and complex manifolds
My professional service includes serving on a large number of departmental, college, and university committees, advising students, serving as referee for scholarly publications, and serving as adviser to two campus organizations.
