Linda was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. “Doc” Abbott and Ronnie Mildred Faucette Abbott. She was a graduate of Greenbrier College for Women and North Carolina State University. While living in North Carolina, she worked for North Carolina Special Olympics, taught classes at Wake Tech, and worked for Medic Computers. Once she returned home to White Sulphur Springs, WV in 2005, she worked for Med 3000. She also worked to preserve the buildings where her father, Doc Abbott, practiced medicine on Main Street. It is now a landmark known as “Abbott’s Corner.”
