MEBANE — Mrs. Dorothy Allene Webster Faucette, 92, of 431 Edgewood Church Road, died at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after two weeks of illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James Carl Faucette Jr. and the daughter of the late John Wesley Webster and Rosa Mann Webster. She was a retired nurse and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Mebane. She received her nurses training in Greensboro.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Martha Shropshire of Graham; four sons, Richard Melvin Faucette Sr., Phillip Wayne Faucette Sr., and Stephen Roney Faucette, all of Mebane, and James Webster Faucette of Graham; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Faye Anderson of Haw River, Mrs. Carlene Squires of Burlington, and Mrs. Fern Dunn of Graham; one brother, Donald Webster of Gloucester, Va.; 13 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Audrey Garrett, Mrs. Narrie Morrow and Mrs. Margie Curtis; and one brother, Mr. Marvin Webster.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, at Edgewood Baptist Church in Mebane by the Rev. Larry Cheek, pastor of the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane this evening from 6 until 8.
