MEBANE — Roney Hamilton Faucette, 80, of 365 Edgewood Church Road, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Leola Massey Faucette, who survives, and the son of the late Junious C. and Lillian Trollinger Faucette. He was retired from AT&T and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
    Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Sharon "Polly" and David Smith of Burlington; a son, Lowell and Della Faucette of Burlington; a sister, Melba Lashley of Mebane; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
    He was preceded in death by a sister; and four brothers.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Edgewood Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Cheek. Burial will be in Hawfields Presbyterian Church cemetery.
    The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
