Notes for Levi FAUCETTE
Born in Alamance County and was by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting in Mecklenburg County at age 28, May 28, 1861, for the war. Captured at Sharpsburg, Maryland, June 27, 1863, and confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware, until transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, October 18, 1863. Paroled and transferred to Boulware’s and Cox’s Wharf, James River, Virginia, February 20-21, 1865, for exchange. Paroled at Greensboro on May 17, 1865. (NC Troops: 1861-1865)
