Notes for Gladys Elizabeth MORTON
She met her husband when they were both working at a hosiery mill. Her husband was a "machine fixer" in the hosiery mill. She was a topper and knitter in a hosiery mill.

Annie Trollinger (married name) was Granny’s second cousin on her father’s side. She had one son. She was living in New York at the time of the world’s fair. Superintendent of the Sunday school where Perry and Hattie are buried. She is buried in the same cemetery where Perry and Hattie are.
There is also a plaque there to the first black man buried in that cemetery. [Marie F. Fisher]

Gladys Elizabeth Morton Faucette
GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — Gladys Elizabeth Morton Faucette, 94, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Governor’s Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Green Cove Springs, Fla.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Thomas Owen “Dodie” Faucette, and the daughter of James Monroe Morton and Cannie Elizabeth Blackwell Morton, both deceased.
She leaves one daughter, Marie Faucette Fisher of Atlanta; two sons, Thomas Melvin Faucette of Hickory Flat, Ga., and James Edward “Buck” Faucette of Florida; six grandchildren, Thomas Melvin “Tommy” Faucette Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., William Mark Faucette of Carrollton, Ga., Carol Faucette Adkins of Palmetto, Fla., Rose Walden Vargas of Salt Springs, Fla., Vicki Lynn Faucette of Fort Worth, Texas, and James Edward “Ed” Faucette Jr. of Jacksonville; five great-grandchildren, Christina Faucette Crapse, April Marie Faucette, Ryan Christopher Adkins, Kyle Joseph Adkins, and Melanie Calhoun Morris; and three great-great-grandchildren, Nicholas Dawson Crapse, Cady Marie Morris, and Clayton Cole Morris.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Morton Lunsford, who died in 1990.
A graveside service will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla., at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11.
Clay Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
